Houston Kicks Off the 33rd Annual National Juvenile Arthritis Conference

Over the weekend, nearly 1,000 kids, teens, young adults and their families made their way to Houston, Texas, to take part in the first of two National Juvenile Arthritis Conferences in 2017. For the second year in a row, the Arthritis Foundation is hosting two JA Conference locations to serve more kids, families and young adults across the country, while also welcoming “home” our returning veteran families.

2017 Juvenile Arthritis Conference Scholarship Available

JA Conference Scholarship Applications Now Being Accepted!

The scholarship application process for the 2017 National Juvenile Arthritis Conference is now open! Interested families and young adults (ages 18-25) are welcome to apply for a scholarship award that will assist in the cost of traveling to or attending this year’s conference in Houston, Texas or Indianapolis, Indiana. Applications must be submitted by February 26, 2017 to be considered, and all applicants will be notified by April 24, 2017.

Juvenile Arthritis Conference Scholarships Offer A Helping Hand

The National Juvenile Arthritis Conference is well known for its ability to bring kids with rheumatic diseases and their families together for a weekend full of hope, inspiration and connections. The one question that gets asked the most is – “but how do we afford to get there?” For many families dealing with a constant stream of medical expenses, it may not be feasible to plan for a weekend conference that, depending on where you may live, might include extensive travel.

JA Conference East Touches Lives of Over 1,000 Families Living With Juvenile Arthritis

While Philadelphia, Pennsylvania is typically known for historic events such as the birthplace of our nation’s Declaration of Independence and Constitution, it was also the site of the second of two National Juvenile Arthritis Conferences. In historic fashion, the Arthritis Foundation welcomed over 1,000 more children and their families to the East conference, bringing the total number of attendees in 2016 to over 2,000 – the highest numbers to date!
